FAQ

+ Do you paint commissions?

Yes I really enjoy the challenge of commissions. I can only take on a limited number, dependant on upcoming projects that I may be working on.

+ How do commissions work?

I ask you to look through my works and give me an indication of the works you like, the colour palate, the size etc. I cannot replicate works but paint with that feel in mind. Once the work is finished I give you first option on the work.

+ What can I expect from commissions & how long does it take?

I want you to love the piece and I wouldn't let the work leave the studio unless I am happy with it. I try my best to work to your time frame but too much pressure can lead to a painters block so Ive found as long as I stay loose it seems to work.

+ Do you have work available now?

Every day is different so best to email me via my Contact page and let me know what you are after.

+ What medium and materials do you use?

I paint generally with oil paints. I use a glaze medium to enhance the luminosity and I work mainly on italian linen and sometimes on gesso board. At times I also work with pen, ink and pencil on paper.

+ How long does it take to make a painting?

This is such a tricky thing to answer as every work has its own personality and some are easy going yet others are an ongoing battle. I generally work on a number of paintings at the same time as there is a lot of waiting for paint to dry moments. This is why you may notice the palette remains consistent with a number of works

+ Do the paintings come framed and ready to hang?

They come stretched and ready to hang but I can arrange framing at reasonable rates through my fabulous framers. If you are outside of Australia, I can arrange to send the canvas rolled and you can ask your local framer to stretch and frame.

+ What about delivery?

I have great art couriers who deliver most places around Australia. I can provide a quote for door to door delivery. Small works can be sent internationally and larger works could be taken off their stretcher and rolled to be re stretched upon arrival.

+ What are your prices ?

My prices are set through the gallery that represent me, Anthea Polson Art. Generally they begin around A$350 for small works up to approximately A$3,500.

+ Where can I see your work?

Galleries, social media and various outlets. See the 'Locations' Page. If you join my email list I will send out a quartlerly newsletter with what's on the easel, what's in stock and invitations to exhibitions

+ How do I sign up for your newsletter?

Simple. See the below 'Subscribe' form!
